Wishing List..

I've been lusting over a few items for 2013 also getting myself mentally prepared for the upcoming trends. Here are a few items that i've been wanting already a week into the new year..

1. Dr Martens Aggy 1490 Boot £70

I had been eyeing these up last year after seeing them on Miley Cyrus and thinking it was a great take on the original with a bit of uniqueness. I've always shied away from getting the original Re-Inveted black pair as i felt everyone would have them. I love the double platform as it seems good for short people like me! Definitely one of my first investments i'm going to make of 2013, Especially now their on sale. Buy it Here

2. Pinafore Tapered Jumpsuit £70

I saw this in Topshop and absolutely fell in loooovee with it. I did actually prefer the playsuit version but i knew this would suit me more and i could style better. I do believe its a very versatile piece which would last me a long time in my cupboard and getting it in black you can't really go wrong. Even changing the jumpsuit day to night.  You can buy it Here

3/4. Studio Striped Top £40 /Two Tone Trousers £40
STUDIO STRIPED TOPTWO-TONE TROUSERS

These two gorgeous pieces are from Zara and have captured the whole Monochrome trend upcoming for spring 2013. They even show how amazing they look to together. These items are so versatile and i really can not get enough of Zara. They really seem to know what their doing and having me lusting over every item in shop! You can buy the top Here and the trousers Here.

5. Pack of 8 Smooth Rings £8
Image 1 of ASOS Pack of 8 Smooth Rings
One essential for me to have on my wish list. I've seen many pictures of the Balenciaga Spiral Rings and i haven't even checked how much they will be as it will be way out of my price range. However these pack of 8 rings are a great alternative as they pretty much look the same.. well except for the spiral. Rings like this are worth the investment as they're cheap, simple and you never really have to take them off. You can buy the Asos Rings Here

This is the 5 things i am lusting over at the moment, i'm trying to control myself and buy items that will serve me well in 2013, rather than buying everything i see and near wearing any of it.. typical thing for me to do.. What items are on your Wish list for the new year?

X- Factor Style Wars

For the past few years i have been less interested in watching x-factor as i think that it has become to entertainment consumed, and has lost the real factor of talent. However i can be wrong that there are few individuals that do make the show worth while. This year the real reason i flick over to X-factor every Saturday and Sunday night is to catch a sneak peak of the wardrobes behind Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos. Now the real question that everyone is asking.. Whose winning the style battle between the two?

Week 1
  • Tulisa Contostavlos,Nicole Scherzinger, X Factor, Fash-Off

  • The first week of the live show and of the style wars is definitely one of the most important as it gives us an insight to what we would expect and as always first impressions do leave a lasting impression. This week i definitely would say that Nicole stole the show in her Izmaylova one sleeved dress and Tulisa failed to impress in Miu Miu.. i felt like she was wearing a parachute!

Week 2
Tulisa Contostavlos,Nicole Scherzinger, X Factor, Fash-Off

Results show this week i was definately impressed with Nicole Kristian Aadnevik gorgeous gown, she knows the right accessories and look to go for which again is a shame for Tulisa again as she's shown her up in her Pucci gown. Nicole clearly took this round again.

Week 5
X-Factor 2012 Style

This week i really loved both of their outfits as i did feel a correspondence between the two, Nicole's showing abit of flesh in Bibi Bachtadze but for me this week oddly i would say Tulisa just had that little more oomph for me in Kruszynska.

Week 8
X Factor 2012 Fashion: Is Nicole Scherzinger Or Tulisa Contostavlos Winning The Style Battle?

This week the two judges completely went in different directions. Nicole went for a structured origami dress with an edgy hair style, me and my sister had completely different views on nicole look as she felt that nicole looked completely lost in this outfit. But i loved the whole look going on as its quite different and everything collaborated well together. I didn't really like Tulisa's outfit this week as i felt the dress was a bit to short for her and the neckline drew a bit of unneeded attention, it didn't flatter her body in the right way. Which is a shame as Tulisa has so much potential!

Overall, in my personal opinion i do think that Nicole certainly has a few years on Tulisa and understands what suits herself more, with hair styles and colours. But i think that Tulisa has her foot in the door with discovering a whole new world of fashion as being in the eye of the public on a show like X-factor definitely makes you venture out and try new trends.  But its all in my own opinon..Who do you think is winning the battle for the best dressed female judge?

Sally Hansen

I've been a nail bitter ever since I could chew, for along as I can remember I've said to myself that I was gonna stop this awful habit. But every time I stop.. I start again. From biting all my nails these years my nails have become so thin short and dented, as a result I don't even paint them to avoid drawing attention to my horrid nails. Recently I started using 'Sally Hansens Maximum Growth Daily Treatment', I've only been using using this product for the last 3/4days and I've already seen and felt a vast improvement, due to the rapid growth I've already seen in my nails this helps me to refrain from biting them and even from them breaking. I've been applying a coat a day on top of the previous coats every morning when I wake up. I assumed it would be weeks before I saw any form of improvement. But in the short amount of time having this product so far I'm really pleased. I can't wait to for my nails to be long and strong! I do hope that I stick to treating my nails and hopefully stop biting my nails complete. As it is a bit of a weird thing to be conscious about

Best Buy!!

Okay, so this month it was my birthday. It's understated for me to say that i had been spoiled with absolutely amazing gifts and couldn't of been happier. As i'm getting older i think that i do prefer quality over quantity as i want to keep my clothes for a long time. I had some money left over from my birthday i and knew exactly what i wanted! I have been lusting over this item since the first time i saw it. It's so beautiful! However may not be everyones cup of tea. I received it this morning and after my prancing around in it all say i felt like i should definitely get online and start raving about how much i loved it!
I absolutely love it and i know i will be living on my body until its hanging by its last threads, trusty topshop you have definitely out done yourselves. Under normal circumstances i don't think i would of bought myself this jacket as it is a little pricey (£180..eek), but luckily for me i had the excuse of my birthday to buy it. Using my topshop student card i got £18 off my purchase which did make me feel a little better about spending so much at once. I know it'll be one of those pieces in the future i was glad i didn't turn away. So i do recommend if your looking for a new leather jacket or something which is just totally unique, topshop have ticked all the boxes.
There's a few pictures i found online as inspiration to create many looks that will go with this jacket, and to my surprise saw rita ora rocking the gorgeous animal painted leather jacket!

I just can't wait to start styling the jacket up, i will post pictures soon

Autumn Trends

The best part about changing seasons is getting to see all the new creative trends and again beginning to see how fashion evolves even more. There are so many amazing trends this season! i wouldn't say i'm the type of person who is dead set on following trends but i like to see them as a guideline and inspiration. Heres a few of my favourite trends at the moment:

Leather
This is probably one of the most obvious trends around at the moment and again one of the easiest! Having at least one leather item in your cupboard seems essential right now! Leather can come across so understated yet so trendy and eye-catching. A prime example of someone who is doing a great job embracing leather is Kim Kardashian, pairing leather and black fur together is so chic and genius!

Suited up
One trend i seem to be lusting over is the whole androgynous feel and suit look, many designers and high street stores are embracing this trend with welcome arms, Miu Miu is definitely a prime example and having me wishing i have enough money to go and snap one up. Snooping around some high street stores and I've definitely been impressed with Topshops geometric suits. This trend is definitely something which up my street and again seems so understated and not much to it. One celebrity who initially had me interested in this trend is Nicola Roberts whose style is immense! In Moschino, Henry Holland and also rocking Topshop Unique this women knows her stuff.

The Peplum Flare
The peplum trend has definitely been passed down from spring summer in autumn and this trend is definitely not going any wear anytime soon, we also have the choice of gorgeous peplum dress or blouse, i definitely have many peplum tops and there so versatile to wear and so simple. I myself don't own any peplum dress's but i can definitely say that seeing blake lively rock peplum dress makes me want to right the era of my ways.

Beanies!
This is a hundred percent a trend that i love! beanies are so cheap so simple and can completely change a look, there are now many different embellished beanies at the moment, which are so trendy and edgy Rihanna's cameo beanie definitely caught my eye and Jill Sander's veil beanie which shows how versatile this whole trend is. Rita Ora knows the beanie trend and has been wearing her fair share, i loved the Trapstar beanie worn by Rita and Rihanna
